Learning more about the financial aid process and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
Researching and priortizing scholarships
Planning college visits
Preparing for the ACT
Finding effective ways to transition from high school to college
Below you will find a schedule of 2014-2015 college and career programming (i.e. presentations, workshops, activities, college visits, etc.). I highly encourage you to attend the evening presentations as a family as they will help you continue the college admission conversation at home. Please know that I welcome any and all questions regarding this process; even if your student would like to discuss things outside of the overwhelming world of college and career, I embrace those conversations as well! A few final tips offered by Maria Furtado, the Executive Director of Colleges That Change Lives:
Don’t talk about college in the car -- it should be a college free zone!
Put discussions about college admissions on the family calendar.
Explore something fun along your college road trip -- a local donut shop, a museum, a landmark, anything!
It is my pleasure to serve you and the St. Joe's family -- God bless!
