Ms. Caitlyn Cheslock -
Guidance Counselor Caitlyn is originally from a small town called Seymour which is close to Green Bay, Wisconsin. She has always been extremely passionate about serving others while being interested in learning about diverse cultures which lead her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies with a minor in Spanish at the University of Minnesota. Ms. Mary Grzenia -
College & Career Counselor Mary grew up in Lake in the Hills, Illinois - a growing suburb of Chicago. She was home schooled along with her three younger siblings, and graduated from Sacred Heart Classical Center Co-op in 2008. With an enthusiasm for learning instilled in her at a young age, Mary earned her Associate’s degree at McHenry County College in 2010 and completed her B.A. in English at Monmouth College in 2012. During her career at Monmouth, Mary initially explored Secondary English Education certification, and while her interest in higher education grew, she determined that she did not feel suited to the teaching profession; however, she energetically served her fellow students as an Academic Coach and as a member of the Monmouth Student Appeals board. These activities spurred her to pursue a job opportunity through the Illinois Student Assistance Commission’s ISACorps. As a member of the state’s financial aid and college access agency, Mary fostered successful partnerships with schools and community-based organizations within her assigned McHenry County district. She worked closely with principals, counselors, teachers, librarians and a variety of community stake-holders to raise awareness regarding the college-going processes. In total, she presented the college application and admission processes, various state and federal financial aid programs, and FAFSA filing procedures to over 5,000 students and parents. Mary also developed individual mentoring relationships with over 200 students and their families. She is thrilled to bring her experience with the ISACorps and her unquenchable passion for post-secondary education to the dedicated St. Joseph team of educators. Finally, Mary is incredibly eager to meet the students of St. Joseph, explore their academic and personal goals, and to assist them in flourishing into the young men and women God is calling them to be!
